About Mount Macedon
Mount Macedon is a small village on the slopes of Mount Macedon approximately 1 hour drive North of Melbourne via the Calder Freeway, or an easy 1 hour train journey via VLine to nearby Macedon Train Station.
The village sits approximately 614 metres above sea level, while it’s sister village, Macedon is nestled into the foothills of the Macedon Ranges.
On the summit of Mount Macedon is our Memorial Cross with cafe and short walks throughout the reserve and to Major Mitchells Lookout with it’s expansive views.
The mountain a paradise for those who love nature, stunning gardens and outdoor activities and the landscape is constantly changing with the seasons. With a wonderful blend of natural bushland and manicured private gardens, the opportunities to explore are endless.

Landscape designer Melina Goddard is an experienced garden designer, garden consultant and garden manager. Her passions include historical gardens and garden restoration.
Having started one of the first wine tours in Margaret River in the late 90’s, Melina has a strong background in tours and events. Melina holds qualifications in both landscape design and horticulture and looks forward to sharing her knowledge of gardens with you.
